About

Hello and welcome! I’m Kristin, a twenty-something interior designer from Minneapolis with a passion for holistic nutrition. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disorder affecting the joints, at the age of 23. After my doctor’s formal diagnosis, I was provided a conventional treatment plan involving medication; however, I decided to put my health into my own hands by changing my diet instead. I have been able to control my symptoms over the last 5 years through food, supplements and exercise. It hasn’t been easy at times, but has definitely become a learning experience and an incredibly rewarding journey!

I love recreating delicious comforting recipes that work with my body to help me heal without feeling deprived. With the need to become more restrictive with my diet, I have taken on the challenge to be more creative with my recipe creations. My recipes are entirely gluten free, grain free, dairy free and nightshade free. Wholesome Within is a great resource for those following a gluten free, Paleo or Autoimmune Paleo Protocol. I have a strong passion for food, research and how nutrition affects autoimmunity.
